What is an IVR System?


An Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system is a feature that facilitates self-service call segmentation & routing by enabling callers to make choices using spoken or typed commands on the telephone keypad. With an IVR System, the customers typed in command on the keypad will route the customer to the prompt service.

How do IVR work?


IVR greet callers & assist them in reaching the most appropriate agent or resource for their particular needs. They do this by responding to caller input, either voice or via the telephone keypad. As the caller selects the menu prompts, the system begins to prompt down who or where the calls best end goal to reach by using skills based routing.
